My most honest statement is made through a fog of fear, hope and ennui alongside other things we are most often too scared or dishonest to discuss. The work herein is a mix, a distillation of those things, inspired by music, movies, poems, a love gained or a love moved on. For me they are points of relevance but out of my control. They can take hold like lightning that I am forever trying to bottle. I used to think the images were records or maybe maps. I’m not sure what they are or what they mean but then I am also not sure it matters.
I used to be a more passionate artist, person but fifteen plus years in academics tried to take it all - like walking a thin, high wire on a cold, windy day.
