THE CREATIVE PROCESS IS NOT SINGULAR OR CONSISTENT.
NEITHER ARE THE RESULTS.
Kris is a visualist, most interested in experience and light and how it describes to us the world. Memory, depression, love, family, education and imagination make up the core of his creative sources but all of them are rooted in observation.
His first experience with photography was with a borrowed Nikon F2 and 50mm 1.8 lens. The relatable frame and shallow depth of field was surprisingly real to how he held his own creative vision - specific enough but messy around the edges. The lens itself, the physical barrier and magic facilitator of the photographs was the hook that connected him to photography.
Kris is a curious person, finds the impermanence of life inspiring, frustrating and absurd. He enjoys thinking and working creatively with any medium and aspires to create more personal, functional and large scale works going forward with photography, mixed-media, adventure and more.
